The car was factory built to COPO 9561 specifications, which called for the MO-suffix L72 427 CI V-8 engine, CX-code 400 Turbo Hydra-Matic 3-speed transmission and BE-code 12-bolt rear end. Also part of the COPO 9561 package was the ZL2 cowl-induction steel hood, a heavy-duty four-core radiator, the F41 high-performance suspension and power front disc brakes.

Under the Shaker scoop is the legendary Chrysler Hemi engine, birthed for NASCAR dominance and in its final production season in 1971 before bowing out due to government regulations and insurance premiums. Dual 4-barrel carburetors scream for mercy as they push fuel through the hemispherical cylinder heads, with dual exhaust emitting a fearsome roar. Only 108 hardtops were produced and this Hemi Cuda features the unique combination of Goldleaf Metallic paint coupled to black Hemi billboard striping.
