This wild and innovative racing machine had reshaped the design of the top fuel dragster forever and enabled Garlits to win the 1986 NHRA Top Fuel Championshup. During the 1986 season at the Gatornationals, he blasted through the quarter mile at a speed of 272.56 miles per hour. A record-setting run that made Big Daddy the fastest man in the sport at that time.
