  • Chevrolet Racing Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 - 2021 Bathurst 1000 Gen3 Launch Livery 1/18 Authentic Collectables
The official launch of the Supercars Gen3 platform had been eagerly anticipated by motorsport fans across the country and at Mount Panorama, as part of the season ending 2021 Repco Bathurst 1000, fans finally got to see first hand what the future cars of Australia's premier motorsport category would look like.

While various images and videos had been released of the new Gen3 Supercars in varying stages of development prior to their completion, this was the first time that the general public had seen the new breed of Supercar completed and on track.

Moving on from the Holden ZB Commodore platform, General Motors natural progression led to the two door Camaro to become its race car of choice for the future. With a preference from manufacturers to race 2 door sports cars, Supercars set about developing a new platform that was more suited to that style of body so the race cars would look more like their road going counterparts and would also be more efficient to build and repair.

Lowering the main roll cage hoop to achieve this was only one of a raft of changes made to the control chassis in the move from Gen2 to Gen3, which allows for more 'OEM' style panels to be used on the cars. New engines are also a key feature of Gen3, with the Camaro upgrading to a race version of the 5.7 Litre Chevrolet LTR V8 after nearly 30 years of service from the existing power plant.

Authentic Collectables are very proud to present the Chevrolet Racing Camaro Gen3 Supercar driven by Shane van Gisbergen as part of the official launch at Mount Panorama on December 3, 2021. This is an officially licensed model by GM Australia and New Zealand, complete with Chevrolet Racing debut livery.

This 1:18 scale model has been produced in die-cast with fully opening parts in a limited edition of 1056 with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

  • Holden HK Monaro GTS 327 Warwick Yellow 1/18 Classic Carlectables
Named after a region in NSW, and meaning 'high plateau', the Monaro name has become a legend in Australian motoring. The HK was introduced in 1968, with the Monaro version being a 2-door pillarless version available in 3 models, base, GTS and GTS 327. The Holden HK Monaro could be customised with a large range of gearbox and engine options, varying from the 161 cubic-inch 6 cylinder, to the 327 V8.
The base model GTS with the 186S engine was priced at $3,060 with the GTS 327 model costing $3,790.
Being on the same platform as the Kingswood, the Monaro model shared the same fan style speedometer, but the GTS had the inclusion of a full array of gauges. The tachometer would not fit in the common layout and was placed in a unique position on the centre console.
The hero of the HK was the GTS 327, identified by the engine capacity badges on the front quarter. The GTS 327 included a Saginaw 4 speed gearbox, LSD, anti-tramp rods, 25-gallon fuel tank and was good for 250 bhp from a Chevy V8. The GTS 327 was designed for racing, and was able to achieve Holdens first win at Bathurst with Bruce McPhee and Barry Mulholland in 1968.

  • Holden VS Commodore 1997 Bathurst Winner 25th Anniversary Silver Livery 1/18 Classic Carlectables
Classic Carlectables Holden VS Commodore 1997 Bathurst Winner 25th Anniversary Silver Livery 1/18 Scale Diecast

The 1997 Primus Bathurst 1000 V8 Supercar race was a classic, particularly given the emotion surrounding the first of Peter Brock's numerous retirements and the record crowd cramming onto Mount Panorama to farewell him. But through it all, Larry Perkins and his team-mate Russell Ingall in their Holden VS Commodore, had out-raced all opposition to clinch the Castrol Team's third Bathurst 1000 win,
    in its last five starts.

Larry Perkins crossed the line in 6 hours, 21 minutes and 55 seconds, to take his sixth victory on the Mountain. The 1997 Race would be Russell Ingall's second victory at Mount Panorama and second with Perkins. The first in 1995 in a Holden VR Commodore.

Steven and Jim Richards were a deserved second place, 1 1 seconds behind Perkins and Ingall. Third place on the podium was Mark Larkham and Andrew Miedecke. In front of one of the largest crowds ever at Mount Panorama and the largest field of V8s to run at the Mountain (43 cars), Perkins and Ingall had captured the Primus 1000 Classic as their rivals fell by the wayside. They had repeated their 1995 winning partnership and cemented the Castrol Holden Commodore's place in the history books.

Classic Carlectables are proud to present a special Silver Livery Edition of the Holden VS Commodore to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of its 1997 Bathurst victory.
