The Holden Torana was produced by Holden from 1967 to 1980, its name derived from an Aboriginal word meaning “to fly.” Originally launched as a compact four-cylinder model based on the Vauxhall Viva, it evolved into one of Holden’s most successful performance cars.

In Australia, the LJ Torana GTR XU-1 became a standout, featuring enhanced performance and handling, and achieving major success in rallying and circuit racing. Introduced in February 1972, the facelifted LJ Torana adopted styling cues from the Holden HQ range, with key updates focused on engine options.

The LJ Torana GTR sedan was powered by the 3300 engine, and a total of 81,813 LJ Torana's were built in Australia, with some exported to New Zealand.

This item includes a certificate and an individually numbered production plate mounted to the chassis.
