Ford Escort MK1, Finishing fourth and fifth overall in the 1971 RAC Rally Fords Embassy Hill Team continued the excellent success that the Mk1 Escort had achieved in rallying in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The Escort was an expert rally car, could easily drift on loose surfaces, and was equipped with a variety of powerful tunable engines.

The 1978 edition of the Spa 24hr hours saw a win for the English Belgian duo of Gordon Spice and Teddy Pilette. One of a team of three Capris in the famous Belga livery the duo fought a race long battle with the BMW teams and numerous other Capris to eventually emerge victorious. Another great result for Gordon Spice racing and for the Capri.

After the success they enjoyed with the Jaguar XJS, Tom Walkinshaw Racing was then asked to take another of British Leyland's legends of the 1980s racing, the Rover SD1. In its iconic red and white colours, the SD1 proved to be a dominant force in the ETCC during the mid-80s.

Fighting the BMW 635CSI wheel to wheel across Europe the big Rovers proved to be more than a match, and they sounded incredible too, thanks to their powerful 3.5 litre V8 motors. This particular example won the 1986 Donington 500KMs in the hands of Win Percy and Tom Walkinshaw himself.
